Knights of Columbus

The St. Bernard’s Knights of Columbus Council 14269 is one of the fastest growing council’s in the district with over 300 active members.

The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven. The three main principles of the Knights of Columbus are charity, unity and fraternity.

The St. Bernard’s Knights of Columbus is involved with so many charitable events through the year. In the fall we host our annual golf outing which from the proceeds allowed us to contribute over $30,000.00 to the parish in 2013.  Around Thanksgiving we donated 20 full meals to the Mary Queen of Heaven food pantry.  During the year we support numerous wounded warrior projects and most recently created a line of honor with American Flags for some wounded veterans who were guests in our area. We host an annual Christmas Party and annual BBQ for the parish which is done completely at no charge, and these are just some of the countless events that we come together to help support through our unity and charity.

Our meetings are held the first and third Thursday of every month at the Hudson River Yacht Club on Bergen Avenue. Before you can join our meeting you must first receive the first degree.
