“Teaching With Love” is evident as you see the children at Saint Bernard Catholic Academy arriving for a day of learning. The students, from the 3 year olds in the Jr. PreK Program to the 8th Graders are blessed with a rich curriculum based on the National Common Core Standards and the New York State Learning Standards. In addition to their core academic subjects, all students also receive instruction in technology, music, art, physical education, and a foreign language. Lab experiences are incorporated into the science curriculum. Additional ELA instruction is offered through our library program. Students in Grade 8 are able to enroll in NYS Regents courses in Algebra and Earth Science. Religion permeates our school day and students graduate with a rich understanding of our faith. Over 30 extra-curricular clubs insure that our students grow and develop into well-rounded citizens who will have a positive impact on our world.
The school has a magnificent staff headed by the principal, Mrs. Kathleen Buscemi. The staff works tirelessly to make sure each child has a well rounded education, and leaves the Academy a caring, intelligent, faithful Catholic.
