Mission Statement

Saint Bernard Parish is a Eucharistic community, nurtured by Sacraments and Scripture, which promotes gospel values and engages in the evangelizing mission of Jesus Christ. We dedicate ourselves to protecting life at every state and to embrace good stewardship of our time, talent and treasure in support of our parish ministries. We seek to foster in our members a strong family life, lifelong faith formation, commitment to service, peace and justice advocacy, respect for diversity and a spirit of harmony and reconciliation.

Annual Catholic Appeal 2018

This week the Bishop’s 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal began. By now you should have received your invitation to participate from Bishop DiMarzio. We thank all who have participated with a gift to the 2017 Appeal and ask that everyone prayerfully consider making a gift to the 2018 Appeal.

The work and services made possible through your donation to the A.C.A. help people in Brooklyn and Queens in ways that no one parish can do alone.

Monthly 50/50 Raffle

Blank yellow envelopes for the monthly drawings are available at the doors of the church for those who would like to participate but do not receive monthly envelopes in the mail. Contribution is $25 and the proceeds will be used for the current renovation and rebuilding of the parish facilities.

Winner takes home half the amount collected for the given month. Drawings are held the last Sunday of each month.
